Who are PMoT?
Our founding members are leaders in their respective fields of project management with 75 years of combined experienced in Consulting, Construction, Training, Organisational Development, Information Technology, Change Management and Research.
The members have been affiliated with the following associations PMI, AIPM, IPMA, PMA(India), PIMSA and PMINZ holding both membership and significant board positions.
The founding members of PMoT are:
Bruce Rodrigues Bruce Rodrigues has been involved in project management for over 34 years. He is a graduate in Civil Engineering and holds a Masters of Business Leadership degree. He is a registered Professional Engineer and a certified Project Management Professional (PMP®).
Bruce is a director and shareholder of companies specializing in building integrated solutions that develop project management capacity, competence and capability. Their client base is primarily South Africa, Africa and the Middle East and also includes the UK, Canada and Russia. Products, services and solutions include the building project management benchmarking networks, strategic implementation of portfolio, program and project management, PMO’s and the provision of customized, outcomes based project management education, training and career development programs to national and international standards and best practice.
Bruce is currently in his second term as a member of the Board of Directors of the Project Management .Institute and is Chair of the Strategic Planning and Programme Alignment Committee. With more than 240,000 members in over 160 countries, PMI is the leading membership association for the project management profession.
Hilary Berryman With over 16 years experience in project management, Hilary has experience as a Progamme Manager, Programme Advisor, Project Manager, Programme Planner and establishing, implementing, managing and reviewing Programme and Project Management Offices.
Hilary is PMP certified and a Prince2 Practitioner.
Hilary’s involvement in Project Management lead her to being a founding member of the PMO Regional Group Committee for PMI’s PMO Special Interest Group and participating in a global workshop to prepare the PMI CAPM (Certified Associate of Project Management) certification that was introduced in 2002.
Other activities have included project manager mentoring in best practice, change management, consultant of organisational change, logistics management and preparation of training material for Implementing PMO’s and PMP® Exam Preparation.
Lynn Crawford Lynn Crawford is a well-known authority on project management competence and standards and has been involved in the profession of project management for most of her career. She is currently leading an authoritative group of international professionals in documenting global performance and knowledge standards on the subject of project management.
Lynn has qualifications in Architecture, Human Resource Management and Certification, and has a Doctorate of Business Administration from Henley Management College in the UK. She is a fellow of both the Australian Institutes of Project Management and Architects, as well as holding membership of other notable industry associations such as PMI, APM (UK) and the Australian Property Institute.
Lynn’s expertise has led her to be involved in a number of organisations, focussing on communities of practice, competence assessment and training. She is a professor of project management at two universities across the globe, as well as her role as course coordinator and lead researcher in project management at the University of Technology, Sydney. As a leading researcher in the profession, Lynn is recognised worldwide for her knowledge, experience and enthusiasm in all things project management.
Roy Sargent Roy Sargent has over 16 years experience in project management, particularly in the construction and organisational development sectors, in the public and private sector. Other activities have included project manager mentoring in best practice, change management, and the project management of training, education, and information systems development.
Roy has degrees in construction management and quantity surveying, and a masters in project management. He is currently completing a doctorate in project management, focussing on project-based competence of the executive leadership of corporations.
Roy has spoken at conferences on project management on five continents, and has assisted in the development of the profession within Australia and the Asia Pacific region during the past decade. He is a past National President of the Australian Institute of Project Management and was a key proponent of the development of project management competencies standards. His involvement on the Board of AIPM spanned 11 years and assisted in developing local and regional competencies in project management and the development of professional associations.
